The resurgence in popularity of Aaron Korsh’s Suits has left fans eagerly awaiting more from the series. While a direct continuation may not be on the horizon, there are plans for a spinoff of the beloved USA Network show. Patrick J. Adams, known for his role as Mike Ross, hinted at the potential for a reunion during ATX’s Suits retrospective event. Joining him were other fan-favorite actors including Sarah Rafferty, Amanda Schull, Dulé Hill, and Abigail Spencer.

Adams acknowledged that while Korsh, the show’s creator, is currently focused on other projects such as the spinoff titled ‘Suits: LA,’ he remains keen on the idea of a reunion movie. Speaking about the possibility, Adams remarked,

“I don’t have any decision-making power, but there’s definitely a ‘Suits: LA’ show in development. That’s Aaron’s focus right now, I think he would agree. But he’s definitely interested in reuniting the cast. It depends on a lot of factors if it can happen, but is it possible? I believe it is.”

Former USA Network president Jeff Wachtel also reminisced about Sarah Rafferty’s character, originally not intended as a permanent fixture in the series.

“Gabriel [Macht] called and said, ‘There’s this incredible actress I know, and I think we should cast her as Donna. She won’t be regular, but she’ll be my assistant. I’d love you to read her.'”

Wachtel recalled realizing Donna’s pivotal role from the pilot episode, particularly in a scene where her presence between Mike and Harvey felt indispensable.

“They’re talking, and she’s just looking from one to the other, and you feel the glue. It’s like, ‘I just want to hang out with these people.’ It’s amazing how things can come together unexpectedly.”

In summary, while the original Suits series may not continue directly, the potential spinoff and hints of a reunion movie offer hope to fans of seeing their favorite characters back on screen together.
